Enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing week at Edgemoor. We have rented many holiday properties throughout the UK and abroad and this is without doubt one of the best. Edgemoor is very well equipped, immaculately clean, well maintained and extremely comfortable. The location is perfect for keen walkers and golf enthusiasts, as it's just a short stroll to the edge of Dartmoor and the golf course. Would recommend the Whitchurch Inn for dining, good beer and a friendly welcome which is just a short enjoyable 20 minute walk away. Many thanks to Mr & Mrs Ashford. We hope to return later in the year.

Step out of your front door and just a few paces away, through a quiet, residential close will bring you onto the wild, open moorland of Dartmoor National Park. From here the green valleys, rivers and high Tors beckon to be explored whether it's on foot, two wheels or on horseback. For golfers, the moorland course is literally around the corner from Edgemoor, albeit you may need to share the green with a sheep or two. A region famous through literature and more recently film, the beautiful landscape of Dartmoor is peppered with pretty hamlets and traditional inns, that make welcome watering holes for weary hikers. Join Drakes Trail in Tavistock, a 21 mile, traffic free route, that takes in some of the most beautiful and inspiring scenery in the county. A gentle 20 minute stroll from the property will take you into the centre of the market town of Tavistock, where a visit to the daily pannier market will allow you to sample some of the best local produce available. The town boasts a vast array of independent shops, tea rooms, cafes and award-winning restaurants and is always busy with events happening across the year. For days out, visit Plymouth and stroll around the famous Barbican or enjoy a picnic on the Hoe. Visit one of the many National Trust sites close by, including Buckland Abbey, Castle Drogo, Cotehele House and Gardens and Lanhydrock House. Nestling in a quiet cul-de-sac, with the moorland to the rear, Edgemoor is an immensely comfortable and welcoming three bedroom detached bungalow. Spacious and impeccably presented, the bungalow enjoys a very private aspect with large enclosed garden to the rear and a sunny inner courtyard, ideal for a summer alfresco breakfast or mid-morning coffee. There are three bedrooms each with luxurious beds guaranteed to induce a blissful night sleep. A light and airy lounge/diner with gas fire for added cosiness leads into a very well equipped kitchen/breakfast room. The garage offers ample, secure storage for bikes and walking equipment and parking for two cars is on the driveway. Tavistock Golf Club, 5 minutes walk away, welcomes visitors to its course and the club facilities, including a bar and restaurant serving excellent food, are available to guests at Edgemoor without the need to join as temporary members. (Club facilities closed during winter months)

3 Bedrooms - Sleeping up to 5 guests 2 steps to entrance and Ground Floor: Hallway. Open plan living room/diner with 32" TV, gas fire, patio doors to garden. Kitchen/breakfast room. Bedroom 1 with 5" bed and en-suite shower room & WC. Bedroom 2 Double. Bedroom 3 Single. Bathroom with bath and hand shower. Other amenities: Free WiFi. DAB radio with docking station, dishwasher, washer/dryer, double oven, freezer. Bedlinen, towels and central heating included. One well behaved dog welcome at £20 per week. Parking for two cars is on a level tarmac level drive. Two shallow steps to entrance. An enclosed garden to the rear is accessed either through the lounge via 2 steps or via kitchen 2 steps through the enclosed paved inner courtyard. The garden is laid mainly to lawn and slopes gently towards the bungalow. There is a further patio area for seating. The property offers accommodation over one level and has a mixture of carpet and vinyl flooring throughout. The internal and external doors range between 68cm and 78 cm wide and 198cm tall. Kitchen worktops are a standard height.
