Fuel & electricity in your cottage

All of your utilities are now included in the cost of your holiday unless stated. There may be a small minority of older cottages that have a coin meters however 99% include your electricity and fuel within the cost, and confirmation of this will be within the property description.

Properties will be adequately heated throughout the seasons, either with central heating, wood burners, fires or electric radiators. Wood for wood-burners, fires or stoves may be payable locally, but normally the housekeeper will leave you enough wood or coal for your first fire.

We are all now aware of the high cost of fuel and our responsibilities not to waste fuel where possible.  We do therefore ask that you remain mindful of fuels costs and turn off lights and turn down heating when you are away for the day. In extreme circumstances should a property owner receive an unreasonably high energy bill following a guests stay, they may look to recover excessive costs.
