Half term in Devon and lots of Halloween fun
After a wonderful sunny September and early October its no surprise that as it comes to October Half term, the skies cloud over and the rain returns in earnest! But don't dismay as whilst you may need to pull on wellington boots and wet weather clothing, there is lots going on in Devon this half term both inside and out and we have put together a few ideas for you if you are looking for inspiration:

Witches Brew Week at Wildwood Escot - 24th - 31st October
Take park in Halloween fun for all the family including pumkin carving, fancy dress parades, spooky stories and a scare maze. For more information on whats on at Wildwood Escot this half term
Star Wars returns at the Milky Way - 29th October
Star Wars fans will be excited to hear that their favourite characters including the famous Storm Troopers from the legendary Star Wars films are once again returing to The Milky Way over the October half term. On Saturday the 29th October you will be able to meet and take pictures with characters from the films as they patrol the park throughout the day. For more information on events at The Milky Way
Paw Patrol at Pennywell Farm - October 27th.
Marshall from PAW Patrol is leaving Adventure Bay for the day on Thursday 27 October to come and see his fans at Pennywell Farm. He will be making appearances at intervals throughout the day, in addition to all the activities, rides, shows and displays on offer. With events all undercover if the weather turns wet, Pennywell Farm is the perfect venue for a rainy day during half term. There is Pumpkin carving for free where you can even take home your hard work, and all the animals waiting for their last cuddle of the season before winter. Halloween Tram of Terror at Seaton’s Tramway
Head to East Devon and take a trip on the Halloween Tram of Terror from Seaton to Colyton. With lots of thrills and spills on the way and each child receives a ‘baddie bag’ of goodies. There are children’s entertainment and activities on board and halloween games at Colyton Station. Refreshments are available at the Tramstop Cafe and fancy dress is optional. Its Super Villains Week at Living Coasts this October Half term.
Where better to stay dry this half term than a visit Living Coasts. Ideal for all ages and this week there are some ghastly goings on with their Super Villains week. Fancy dress, puppet shows, a creepy coffin trail will keep everyone amused and dry! For more information on visiting Living Coasts
What ever the weather Dartmoor Zoo provides a fun packed animal filled day out for all the family where a wide range of exotic and native animals can been seen in a natural environment. Visit the Big Cats – the largest variety of big cats in the South West. There is an outdoor play area and electric scooters to hire and the Jaguar Restaurant is open for lunches for meals and refreshments.
Gothic Spooks at Knightshayes
Visit Knightshayes for their Victorian gothic spooks and late night opening all this week. There is plenty to keep the children occupied this half term at Knightshayes. Enjoy a week of nature craft activities and a wild child trail for the energetic and come in the evening and experience the spooky trail around the house as Knighthayes turns off the lights and fills full of ghoulish crafts and illuminations.
