For a glorious sandy beach, a short drive will take you to Whitsand Bay with its dramatic scenery, sheer cliffs and wonderful walks or take a day out to Cotehele, a National Trust Tudor house and valley garden estate set above the River Tamar.
With your choice of Dartmoor National Park, with it's hidden valleys and wild ponies and Bodmin Moor, a fascinating stretch of rugged landscape full of myths and mystical legends, these are walkers' and explorers' delights.
A visit to the historic market town of Tavistock in Devon is well worth the trip and nearby Plymouth is excellent for shopping, nightly entertainment and maritime heritage.
On-site shared facilities include an indoor and outdoor pool (seasonal opening times), bar/restaurant, shop, gym and tennis courts, along with school holiday activities (seasonal, subject to availability, extra charges apply) such as archery and rock climbing. Manorcombe 13 is a contemporary styled bungalow with an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with three bedrooms.

Callington is a Cornish market town, rich in mining heritage and overlooked by Kit Hill, the highest point in the area, donated to the people of Cornwall by Prince Charles to celebrate the birth of Prince William. From the top of Kit Hill there are fabulous views across south-east Cornwall as far as Plymouth Sound. Callington is set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and offers a good selection of shops, inns and cafes, as well as being the home of Ginsters Cornish pasties. A few miles away, the quaint village of Calstock clings to the steep banks of the river Tamar and is dominated by the splendid Calstock Railway Viaduct, a giant 11-arched stone construction supporting one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines running through the Tamar Valley. Other interesting places along the river are Cotehele, a beautiful historic house and gardens owned by the National Trust with a small quay and inn, and Morwhellam Quay, a theme park that staged a living history production for the BBC and where visitors can explore the rich mining heritage and watch blacksmiths, potters and craftsmen at work. The pannier market town of Tavistock is only nine miles from Callington and is well worth a visit on your way to a day’s walk on Dartmoor. A splendid base to explore south Cornwall and West Devon.

Please note: Leisure facilities for 2019 - Pool & Gym will close from 5pm on 24th December and re-open at 9am on 27th December. They will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year's Day. Open from 9am to 8pm at all other times over the festive season. Reception & shop will be closed for the same periods.
The Bar & Restaurant will be open from 5pm to 11pm on Christmas Eve. It will be closed on Christmas Day. All other opening times around the Festive period have not yet been confirmed.

Note: Site Gym and Pool Rules - No under 16's permitted to use the gym. Pool - under 16's must be accompanied by an adult, two children max per adult. Under 8's/Non-swimmers should always be accompanied by a competent adult in the pool.
Note: Essential work is being carried out to upgrade the Biomass boilers on the site of Honicombe Manor. Although the work is almost complete there may be disruptions to the heating in the changing rooms. The temperature of the pool will remain unaffected and enjoyment of all other site facilities will not be otherwise affected.
