The property

The Fort is a wonderful detached cottage located in Bude, Cornwall, and is situated on the beachfront.

Step into the lovely lounge area with its light decor and quirky fabrics which give the room a bright and welcoming feeling.

With a TV and DVD player to keep you entertained of an evening, as well as a selection of books and games which can be enjoyed from the dining room table housed in the open-plan kitchen.

The kitchen has a wonderful set of wooden units and sleek white worktops with ample space for preparing home-cooked meals.

This room boasts a lovely wooden dresser, showcasing a range of china dinner sets.

Upstairs are three spacious bedrooms: one double, one twin and one single, all with large windows, giving an abundance of natural light, coinciding with the white walls.

Each bedroom has ample storage space and soft beds which ensure a good night's sleep.

There is a separate family bathroom with a bath and shower over, with quirky beach curtains and an attractive white and coloured tiling.

Oustide has a terraced garden with a sun terrace and furniture provided, a lovely spot to sit out with a refreshing glass of wine and enjoy the coastal sun.

Off-road parking is available for two cars.

The Fort is a magnificent location for families, where you can keep an eye on your little ones from the garden as they build sandcastles on the beach - an ideal spot for walking the dog too.

For the older members of the family, you can enjoy a multitude of surfing, with fantastic rolling waves all year round.

With so much to do on your doorstep, you won't want to leave!

Venture into the local town for a range of amenities including the cafes, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets.

The Fort is an excellent cottage for those family breaks.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
