This delightful detached Cornish cottage on the Roseland Peninsula is situated approximately 1/4 mile down a private lane, one of three properties in a secluded wooded valley.
Just a 10 minute, streamside traffic free walk or a couple of minutes by car will bring you to the sandy National Trust beach of Pendower, which is also dog friendly all year round. Mill Cottage is Just 1 mile from the centre of the pretty village of Veryan, which has a Post Office/store and a 16th Century pub which serves good food and quality ales.
Why not go for afternoon tea at the Nare Hotel which is just a peaceful 10 minute walk or lunch at Melinsey Mill less than 5 minutes away by car.
The gardens at Heligan are just a 10 minute car journey and well worth a visit.
This cosy cottage has a compact open plan living area with kitchen at one end and stone fireplace for open fires at the other.
At the front is a very sheltered and sunny enclosed patio. Access to the property is via a narrow lane.
With two other cottages close by and surrounded by acres of National Trust woodland, this is an extremely peaceful spot.
Here one can go to sleep with the owls and wake up with the pheasants!
This is an ideal location for coastal and woodland walks and for the nature lover wildlife abounds. Adjacent to the cottage there are 4 acres of private gardens for guests and owners use only (owner rarely there).
Immediately adjacent to the cottage is an area of lawn bordered with a stream, continuing down the valley through the rhododendron garden to a wild life area with open ponds and streams (formerly part of the water Mill collecting the water from springs on the valley side).
There are also two acres of woodland which rise up the side of the valley.
The entrance is fenced and gated, children and dogs should be supervised within the grounds.
