The property

Watching over the untamed and unspoilt Atlantic coastline at Crackington Haven is this unique retreat with jackpot coastal views.

A hedonistic combination of coast and countryside, Crackington Vean is perched at the head of a valley of verdant pastures, a secret spot that is minutes from the coastal footpath and a super stretch of sandy beach.

An elegant yet rustic interior arranged over three floors, it is perfect for a romantic break, a jaunt with friends or for a traditional seaside family holiday.

The sitting room is the hub of the house, bathed in light with soft, plump leather settees, avant-garde wood burner and magical views that tumble over the fields dotted with farm animals and out to sea. Scattered throughout is an intriguing collection of original artwork and antique furniture cleverly mixed with quality modern pieces.

On the first floor are two attractive twin bedrooms and a double en-suite bedroom with arresting sea views and a seriously comfy, super king size Vi-Spring mattress.

The lower ground floor master bedroom suite is the choice for romantic couples with a super king size bed decked in beautiful linens, a wood burner, shower room and doors to a private patio.

Outside there is a large wrap-around garden, a wonderland for children to hide in and for adults to sit back and relish the views whilst seafood sizzles on the barbecue. Taste more delicious food and ales at the inn on Crackington Haven Beach or, for more choice, it is a 15 minute drive along the scenic coast road to the seaside resort of Bude for numerous beaches, restaurants and a golf course.

Nearby Boscastle, Port Isaac and Padstow are also highly recommended day trip destinations.

About the location

Tintagel 17 miles.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.

Please note, during off peak periods the owner may occasionally be staying in the Barn which is located a discrete distance from the property, with separate parking, and the owner will be out during the days and this should not impact your stay in any way.
