Picturesque Porthleven is just a 10 minute drive, with a beach, harbour, bespoke shops and great restaurants, makes this a must visit.

The farmhouse provides a tranquil family retreat excellently placed for discovering west Cornwall's hot-spot destinations.

Helston is the nearest town, just over 2 miles away, drive 20 minutes to discover the beaches, hidden coves, picturesque villages and breathtaking coastal footpaths on the Lizard Peninsula.

From Lizard village the walk to Kynance Cove is truly wonderful; the view from above, with the contrasting green and blue waters against the dark rocks and white sands has excellent caves to explore at low tide.

Praa Sands offers a beautiful mile long stretch of beach, popular with families, bathers and surfers.

Explore ancient Marazion and adventure across the narrow causeway at low tide to the fortress topped semi-island of St Michael's Mount, and look back across the waters with its sailing and windsurfing.

The maritime town of Falmouth is 13 miles away with many attractions; the historical Pendennis Castle with its Discovery Centre and hands-on activities is excellent for all ages in all weathers.

Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, a large area of downland fringed by a beautiful and spectacular coastline. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Nestled in a tranquil setting is the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford River, where there is plenty of entertainment watching seals play and feed. If it is thrill rides that excites you, then Flambards theme park will keep you amused all day and also has excellent living history experiences. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Helston is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.
