Originally the Wheelwrights workshop, now extended and remodeled, the property is attached to the owner's cottage, set in peaceful surroundings just a mile from the village of Blackawton. Positioned in the heart of the South Hams, this serene and tranquil setting is perfect for exploring. Just three miles will take you to the historical maritime port of Dartmouth famous for its narrow cobbled streets, lined with interesting boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Here you can stroll along the embankment or take a river cruise along the Dart. Also close by are the historical towns of Kingsbridge and Totnes and the beaches of Slapton and Blackpool Sands. You will never struggle for inspiration and ideas for days out in this lovely part of South Devon, however if all you wish to do is put your feet up and relax, then this delightful little cottage has be to the perfect choice. Enter through French doors into a light and airy open plan living space furnished with attractive cream sofa, pine furniture and feature electric fireplace. To one end a stylish, modern white fitted kitchen features an integrated hob, oven, fridge and dishwasher with a neat pine dining table and chairs. Benefitting from glorious views of the valley, the lovely and very spacious bedroom is furnished with a kingsize pine bed with timber floors and a modern ensuite shower room with power shower. The lovely sunny garden is a wonderful spot to relax, with paved terrace immediately outside the cottage and beautifully tended gardens shared with the owner. Guests also have use of their own private patio overlooking the valley, with barbecue and patio furniture that catches the last of the evening sun and makes a perfect spot for a summer evening aperitif. Within walking distance of the cottage the pretty village of Blackawton, a previous winner of Britain in bloom, has a village store, post office and two pubs renowned for serving good local ale and home cooked food. There is parking off the road for one car immediately outside the cottage.
