Property Description
Arriving at Dunsley Mill, visitors will be captivated by the peace and tranquillity of this sheltered valley, surrounded by 30 acres the only sounds are the distant calls of owls and buzzards and the soothing trickle of water from the small river that runs through the grounds. A perfect rural retreat, visitors to this charismatic barn conversion find it difficult to leave, the visitors book testament to this where guests note their eagerness to return year on year. Lovingly restored the barn is brimming with character and charm with restored timber beams, rich heritage colours and a large wood burning stove that nestles in the corner of the spacious open plan living room, where two large comfortable sofas will guarantee your supreme comfort and relaxation. Separated from the living room by a useful breakfast bar the spacious kitchen is fully equipped to meet guest's ever need and to one side a separate dining space will guarantee family gatherings are a real social occasion. Three charming bedrooms on the first floor are each dressed in delicate country fabrics, both double rooms enjoy wonderful views of the valley to the front of the barn. A family bathroom on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor complete this uniquely wonderful property. Whilst many guests will find relaxing on the patio overlooking the valley the epitome of their holiday, for those who wish to explore, the beautiful village of Dulverton in the hear of Exmoor has a great range of shops, pubs and restaurants and is just a ten minute car journey. Less than an hour will take you to the cathedral city of Exeter or north to the coastal beaches of Saunton Sands, Braunton, Wollacombe and Croyde. South Molton just fifteen minutes has a twice weekly market, fine butchers, chemist and a supermarket. There are some fine restaurants and pubs in the area where local produce is always on the menu, try the London Inn at Molland for mouth watering home cooked food, or for a special occasion the Michelin star The Masons Arms at Knowstone, serves real ale to champagne by the glass. The owners of Dunsley Mill are happy to arrange horse riding lessons, fishing and restaurant bookings for guests. There is plenty of parking next to the cottage.
