Swallows Nest ,one of two eco friendly holiday cottages in Devon, the other Wrens Nest , was once a derelict milking parlour and has now been transformed into a stylish Devon holiday cottage with zero carbon footprint. The owner's commitment to guests comfort and a green holiday experience is impressive. Luxury soft organic bedding, an organic welcome basket, handmade soap and environmentally friendly products are all provided for your stay. Beautifully designed, the open plan interior offers all the character of high vaulted ceilings and stone floors, warmed by under floor heating. A wood burning stove (logs supplied) is set into the corner of the living space and creates a cosy atmosphere in which to relax and unwind on ample, comfortable sofas. Set in 30 acres, 15 of woodland with garden and 15 of pasture, designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty due to the flora and fauna that can be found, guests can relax on their own private patio or in the beautiful gardens, where deck chairs and a hammock can be provided for those lazy days in the sun. (Due to a number of large ponds in the grounds children must be strictly supervised at all times) Swallows Nest is an ideal base to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The historic villages of Luppitt and Upottery are very close by and the impressive Jurassic Coast is roughly 30 minutes drive. There is parking for 2 cars immediately outside the property.
