Property Description
The village of Bradworthy lies within easy reach of the spectacular North Devon coastline just three miles from the Cornwall Devon border. For those who are looking to unwind and recharge from the rigors of modern living there is no better destination. Rich in tradition, where farmers markets and country inns offer some of the finest homegrown produce that Devon is so famous for. The village of Bradworthy is 1/4 mile walking distance of Brook cottage and boasts the largest village square in the West Country. All your basic essentials can be sourced from the village shops including a butcher, post office, a couple of general stores and most importantly the village inn that has a reputation for good food and beer! A recent barn conversion with many green credentials to reduce its carbon footprint, Brook Cottage meets all new building requirements and is securely positioned within the grounds of the owner's Lew Barn, where they offer dog friendly bed and breakfast accommodation throughout the year. You will be greeted on arrival by 'Riddick' and Honey the owner's friendly, larger than life Newfoundland dogs, who are delightful and eager to meet all new visitors and their dogs. Arranged over one level Brook cottage enjoys a light and airy living space with glazed patio doors to the front and a further patio door leading to a private sunny paved patio to the rear. A large wet room offers the convenience for those in a wheel chair and two bedrooms one with a 6' zip and link bed, and both with their own TV/DVD's complete this comfortable cottage. Guests are free to wander through two acres of meadows and through a gated access to the lake rich with flora and fauna. There is a picnic area overlooking the lakes, care must be taken with young children who must be accompanied at all times. An outdoor day kennel is available and can be booked through the owner during your stay. There is a private allocated parking space next to the cottage.

Sleep 4: Lounge/Diner and Kitchen. Shower Room with WC. Bedroom 1 with 6' bed (zip and link to twin). Bedroom 2 with 5' bed. Other amenities: Freezer. Bed linen and towels provided. Two well behaved dogs welcome free of charge. Day kennel available on request with owner.
