Property Description
In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by acres of green countryside with panoramic views stretching towards the sea and beyond is Cheristow Farm. There are six holiday cottages converted from old farm buildings which date back to Medieval times. The cottages provide a perfect base to get away from it all. Peace and tranquillity are guaranteed. There is accommodation to suit families or couples and is the perfect base for seaside or walking holidays. Dogs are welcome. For families there is a play paddock with climbing frame, swings and sand pit. All are invited to join in with feeding the owner's animals including ponies, sheep, pigs, geese, ducks and chickens. There is a luxury hot tub and sauna which is the perfect way to relax after busy days. The surrounding area has so much to offer from active sports like cycling, sailing, surfing and fishing to National Trust beaches and coast line. Cheristow Farm is ideally situated tucked away off country lanes it is only a short walk to the beaches of Berry or Blackpool and the South West Coastal Path. A little further afield are, in the south, Welcome Mouth, Sandymouth, Bucks Cross and Widemouth Bay and north, to Clovelly, Appledore and Instow. The village of Hartland is a 20 minutes walk through oak woods. Here there a range of shops, pubs and a local pottery and furniture workshops. There is plenty of off road parking close to the properties. The Tack room is the smallest of the cottages with steps leading to the door giving direct access to a galley kitchen with combination oven/grill/microwave, and through which is accessed the lounge/diner with a simple to operate unique full size double fold-away bed, neatly concealed for daytime storage within the lounge area. There is a sunny seating area to the side of the property.
