Surrounded by beautiful countryside, woodland and beaches this area of South Devon is the perfect destination at any time of year. For those who enjoy dining out Dartmouth offers a wonderful selection of eateries from award winning fish bars to fine dining or cosy pubs. If it's a romantic break you are seeking, take a stroll along the embankment or catch the riverboat along the scenic estuary to Dittisham and Totnes. For families this is the perfect destination with a multitude of activities on the doorstep. Take the children on the steam railway that winds it way from Kingswear to Paignton, or why not sit on the harbour wall and try your hand at crabbing always a firm favourite with children of any age. Other more conventional days out such as Woodlands adventure park is on the doorstep and there are a whole host of beaches in the area to visit, Blackpool Sands being the most popular. The entrance of Norton Park lies just on the perimeter of Dartmouth just 4 miles from the beach at Blackpool Sands and within just over a mile from the River and town centre.
